RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria 2024
The Indian Railways has eligibility requirements for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) that include certain age and educational criteria. It is necessary for candidates to have cleared the Matriculation exam from a Central or State board or any review board. They also need to have an ITI Trade certification from SCVT/NCVT in the relevant field.
As an alternative, candidates may fulfill the educational requirements by completing a Bachelor of Engineering from an AICTE – accredited university or by having a three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
According to RRB ALP notification 2024 the age limit of the applicant is in between 18 to 30 years as of 1 July 2024 and additionally there is 3 year age relaxation for OBC category candidates and 5 year relaxation for the SC/ST applicants. While the computer based test to is longer which last 2 hours 30 minutes and consist two parts in which first part is similar to CBT 1 Paper with 100 questions, while Part B focus on relevant field subjects and have 75 questions and each questions awarded one marks and each incorrect answers lead deduction of ⅓ mark. The RRB ALP examination pattern aims to test the knowledge of the candidate to recruit the most suitable candidate.
RRB ALP Selection Procedure 2024
The RRB ALP selection process is a multiple stage procedure which was conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board which includes RRB ALP written examination (CBT I, CBT II & CBAT / Only for ALP), document verification, and personal interview. Candidates have to clear the RRB ALP written examination which was conducted in the month of March 2024.
After the release of the result, the Railway Recruitment Board prepared a list of qualified students and called them for document verification and personal interview where all the document verifications and soft skills of the candidate will be tested.
